In a rematch of last year’s first-round playoff match, the Mustang Varsity — for a change — started strong. But that didn’t last, as the visiting Sea Queens had tied the game, 4-4, at half. After the break, the Mustangs built one three-goal lead — then let CdM get within one — before gaining the final margin for the 6th win in a row.
Record: 6-1
Note: This is Trabuco’s second-longest winning streak in program history. Longest? 8 wins to start 2009! … Trabuco’s 14-11 playoff win vs. CdM in 2009 was the only other meeting between the two schools.
