Sticks & Stones schedule set

The Mustang JV will face Mater Dei and El Dorado in pool play at the 3rd annual Sticks & Stones Invitational at Trabuco Hills on April 17.

The tournament will feature 12 local teams broken into 4 groups for pool play, with games starting at 8 a.m. at the stadium and upper field:

• Group A: Mustangs (2009 semifinalist), Mater Dei and El Dorado.
• Group B: Newport Harbor, Foothill (2009 runner-up) and Dana Hills.
• Group C: Laguna Hills, Los Alamitos (2009 champs) and Mission Viejo.
• Group D: El Toro (2009 semifinalist), Corona del Mar and Aliso Niguel.

All teams will then meet in a playoff round based on their pool play performance. The winners of the first place playoff games will meet in the championship game at 4:30 p.m.
