The host Timberwolves kept the Mustang Varsity close, trailing just 2-0 midway in the first half in the Sea View League match. But Trabuco Hills got rolling, and burst out to an 11-2 lead at half.
The Mustangs were even more dominating after the break, keeping the Timberwolves scoreless as Trabuco ran up its third-highest goal total in program history in its second straight victory.
Record: 10-3, 2-2 Sea View.
Notes: Trabuco now leads the all-time series, 4-1 — the lone loss coming on the last day of the 2009 regular season. … Bigger Mustang outbursts? 22-5 vs. Peninsula (2009); and 20-6 vs. Woodbridge (2008). … This day’s 17-goal advantage ties the largest winning margin with that 2009 defeat of Peninsula.
