Season ended with an upset, as #12 Diablos topped the 5th seeded Mustangs at Mission Viejo Stadium in a US Lacrosse Orange County playoff. The Mustangs trailed, 6-4, at the break but managed to claw out a 9-8 advantage midway through the second half. But a late Diablo rally put Trabuco behind and a last-second shot by the Mustangs was blocked, sealing the loss.
Final record: 13-6
Notes: The game marked the final game for seniors Morgan Chaney, Kayla Heaviside, Chelsea Martin, Brittani Nagy and Veigh Redwine. Good luck girls and “Thank You!” for your great years with the team.
