Sand Storm schedule set

Mustang Club visits the Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio this weekend. The team will compete in the “Benny” Division of the Rancho Mirage bracket.

Pool play schedule:

• Saturday 10 AM vs. Utah Mamaci Black at Field #3
• Saturday 1 PM vs. CC Lax at Field #7
• Sunday  9 AM vs. Team Uno at Field #10
• Sunday noon vs. Bearlax 14 at Field #4

Playoffs, if team qualifies, will start at 2:15 PM on Sunday.

“Sand Storm has grown in size every year and the 2011 tournament will feature a record 65 teams in three girls divisions (Middle School, JV and Varsity).  This year’s Sand Storm will break new ground as Synapse has partnered with Lax West Lacrosse to add a boys’ component to the tournament.  2011 teams hail from Arizona, California, Colorado, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington. In addition, many of the best athletes from their region will be competing on one of 6 teams representing XTEAM, a national lacrosse club that works to help girls from non-traditional areas actualize their dream of playing lacrosse in college.”
