Players sought for O.C./L.A. team

The Orange County and LA Chapters of US Lacrosse will once again enter a U19 Team into the Women’s Division National Tournament. This year’s team will be headed by former El Toro HS and current El Dorado HS Head Coach Lee Danbara

The Women’s Division National Tournament began in 1933 as a tournament to showcase the best post-collegiate and club women’s lacrosse players. Since that time, it has grown into one of the largest women’s lacrosse events in the nation. It is a true celebration of women’s lacrosse and continues to represent the heartbeat of the game. Tournament highlights include division championships, a U.S. Team exhibition, an annual high school all-star game, tickets to NCAA championships, and a premier recruiting opportunity for high school players. 2011 Event Information: May 28-29, 2011; Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, N.Y.

Tryouts for any player interested in playing in this event will be held on:

  • Sunday, April 10, 2011
  • Location – TBD
  • Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
  • The team will be limited to 20 players.
  • Players interested in trying out for the team can register on the Orange County Chapter of US Lacrosse.
  • The fee for trying out is $35.00
  • All players will need to wear PLAIN white t-shirt and solid black shorts for tryouts
  • Team will be announced on April 15th.

Travel dates for the event are …

  • Thursday night, May 26th and returning Monday, May 30
  • Pricing for this event will be approximately $980 per player. There will be opportunities to fundraise for the fee.
  • Price includes Hotel room, Airfare, Transportation at the event, Tournament Entry fee, Uniform, ticket to NCAA Division 1 Championships. Does not include meals
