The Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse JV’s home opener was spoiled by a second-half rally by arch-rival El Toro, 3-2.
The Mustang JV led 2-1 at half, thanks to goals by Melanie Leong and Delaney Shelton. But Trabuco Hills’ offense went cold after the break — and El Toro got two goals midway through the second half to take a lead they would not relinquish. Goalies Cyrena Malkowski and Katie Kuhlman combined for 14 saves in the defeat.
