Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse’s JV got a second chance against El Toro — and made the most of it.
The visiting Chargers had beaten the Mustangs, 3-2, earlier in the season. This time was different. By half, the two teams had scored double the goals, with the Mustangs ahead, 6-4. (Goals from Hope Dodd (2), Jackie Huse (2) and Melanie Leong and Becca Ransom.)
After intermission, El Toro never drew closer. Leong, Dodd and Ransom scored — as did Delaney Shelton — to seal their Mustangs fourth consecutive victory.
