Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse’s JV gets their fifth consecutive victory at Mater Dei in Santa Ana.
The Mustangs found themselves tied 3-3 — two goals by Hope Dodd and one by Becca Ransom — with the host Monarchs with three minutes left in the first half. But three quick goals before the break — two from Delaney Shelton and one from Melanie Leong — gave Trabuco Hills a 6-3 advantage.
After the break, the Monarchs matched goals by Ransom and Leong to keep it close with 11 minute sleft. But two more goals by Dodd iced the victory.
Notes: Peyton Nunez had three assists … Mater Dei had beaten the Mustang JV in three of four meetings last year.
