Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse Varsity did its share at the 2nd annual LA/OC Shootout, completing its rainy day sweep of teams from the north by beating Oak Park, 14-3, at Laguna Hills High.
After falling behind, 1-0, early for the second time in the day at the Shootout, Trabuco Hills rallied to a 6-2 halftime advantage and put the game away with a strong second half.
Notes: Trabuco’s now 5-3 on the season. Goal scorers were Alyssa Ransom, 4; Hannah Redwine and Jessie Papageorge’s, 3 each; and one apiece from Rachel Lansner, Hope Dodd, Jackie Huse and Justine Tobias. Cyrena Malkowski had two saves and two takeaways. … Orange County won the Shootout for the second consecutive year.
Next up: Sea View League opener, Tuesday, at Aliso Niguel.
