2015 tryouts on Dec. 6

The next step toward defending the South Coast League crown: Tryouts for the 2015 Trabuco Hills Lacrosse Varsity and JV will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 4 to 6:30 pm at Trabuco Hills stadium turf field. Warm-ups will begin at 3:30 pm.

What will happen:

• After physical warm ups, players will be divided into those that want to tryout for JV and those that want to tryout for Varsity. After some drills and at the appropriate time, some from the Varsity group will be moved to the JV group. This may happen a few times. The results of the tryouts will be communicated as soon as possible before the end of that weekend.
• The drills will be those that players have already done in practices.
• Since the drills involve two or more players, we realize others can make you look better or worse than you are, and you can do the same for others. Given that, drills are kept to a small number of players and highly repetitive to get a true sense of a players capabilities.
• There will be medium-distance running component.
• Basically, do the tryouts like you would participate in a practice. As the sayings go, practice like you’ll play (in games). You’ll play (games) like you practice.
