JV 7, Capo Valley 3

Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse Junior Varsity started strong against the Capistrano Valley Cougars Tuesday night scoring the first 3 goals of the game.

Capo got one goal in return only to be bombarded by 2 more Lady Mustang goals ending the first half at 5-1. First half goals are credited to Bitting, Daneshmand, and Rauch. The Mustang defense continued their record of excellence with Sierra Knudsen, Sydney Rauch, Gabby Gorven, and Gabrielle Bitting sweeping the draw controls while Knudsen, Kristen Rosenberg, Rauch, and Karli Franks were fielding the ground balls and pressuring the ball from the Cougars.

In the second half, Capo attempted to rally with 2 goals but were shut down by the Mustang defense while our offense put two more scores on the board for a final score of 7-3.

Ashley Bell is credited with 4 saves while Knudsen and Rauch scored the second half goals. Sherry Hsu, Sarah Daneshmand, and Knudsen did an excellent job forcing turnovers and Zoe Cerutti joined them in fielding ground balls.
