The Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse Junior Varsity’s game vs. Santa Margarita Catholic High School can be summed up in one word: Shutout!

The Eagles had their feathers clipped with the Mustangs scoring the first 2 goals almost immediately after the start of the game with 7 more before halftime. The Eagles did not fare much better in the second half with the Mustangs scoring 5 more goals for a final score of 14-0. Goals were credited to Sydney Rauch, Jordan Cisowski, Gabrielle Bitting, Sierra Knudsen, Payton Tate, and Kristen Rosenberg.

The few time the Eagles managed to actually get to the Trabuco goal side, they were quickly sent packing with take aways by Sherry Hsu, Knudsen, Bitting, Rauch, Kaylie Petko, and Meagan Raft; and 5 goal saves by Ashley Bell. Ground balls were also quickly brought into Mustang control with recoveries by Cisowski, Knudsen, Hsu, Brianne Doan, Bitting, Rauch, Petko, and Rosenberg.

While the Mustangs galloped, the Eagles did not quite soar.
