Concussion awareness urged

October 29, 2010

It’s not just the National Football League and the National Hockey league worried about concussions.

US Lacrosse CEO Steve Stenersen: “US Lacrosse is committed to raising awareness of the serious nature of concussion injury, as well as the importance of recognizing and properly caring for the injury when it occurs.”

MORE HERE on US Lacrosse efforts with the NFL and the Center for Disease Control to increase concussion awareness. And some helpful guides:

  • Fact sheet on concussions from CDC and how to spot one HERE!

The CDC reminds players and parents: “All concussions are serious. Don’t hide it, report it. Take time to recover. It’s better to miss one game than the whole season.”
