Mustang makes Academic All-American list
US Lacrosse has just formally released its list of 2010 Academic All-Americans, and the honorees include Trabuco Hills’ Lizzy Moore! She was one of more than 1,100 nationwide and 14 from Orange County. (List of all 2010 Academic All-Americans!)
From US Lacrosse’s press release: “A US Lacrosse Academic All-American is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills and excellent sportsmanship on the field while also representing high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. Additionally, a US Lacrosse Academic All-American has left her mark by making significant contributions of service to the school or community.” Among the qualifications sought from honorees include academic excellence; sportsmanship; multiple years as letter winner; multi-sport athlete; team captain; league honors; team’s success; regional or national club team status; and previous US Lacrosse honors.
For 2009, Mustangs Brittani Nagy and Veigh Redwine were named US Lacrosse Academic All-Americans!
