Showers, sun and surf at Shootout

Mustang Club spent the weekend in Santa Barbara at the UCSB Shootout, gaining experiences of lacrosse — and weather!
- Game 1: Delayed Saturday afternoon’s start by an hour by thunder, Mustangs lose 8-3 in a driving rain shower to Team Vegas from Nevada.
- Game 2: Midnight Madness! Clear but chilly at the 11:15 p.m. draw, Mustangs beat Brave Lax of St. Louis, 8-6.
- Game 3: With a sun-kissed gorgeous ocean view as a backdrop, … a 15-3 defeat of Xavier Prep from Arizona!
From Coach Redwine: “The girls played excellently and worked superbly as a team unit. We went 2-1 outscoring our opponents 26-17: Game 1 Saturday afternoon, was a well-played 3-8 loss; Game 2 Saturday night/Sunday morning, was an 8-6 win; and Game 3 Sunday afternoon it all came together with a 15-3 victory; contributions were made by all 17 players.”
