Trabuco Hills JV opened their 2011 season with a fast start at Corona del Mar, jumping out to a 2-0 lead. But that was the biggest — and last — Mustang advantage for the day.
The host Sea Queens quickly made it 2-2 and then took a 5-3 lead to the break. The Mustangs never got closer.
Mustang goal scorers: Hope Dodd has two; Megan McIntyre added one; plus goals from three siblings of Varsity players — Peyton Nunez (sister of Taylor); Melanie Leong (sister of Danielle); and Becca Ransom (sister of Alyssa.)
