Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse Varsity made quick work of the visiting San Juan Hills Stallions, setting up a huge Senior Night battle with Laguna Hills with the Sea View League crown at stake.

The Mustangs sprinted to 16-2 halftime lead en route to a 23-6 Sea View win with a dozen Trabuco Hills players scoring. It was a historic night:

  • 23 goals ties the program’s all-time high for a game.
  • 12 total assists and 35 combined points are new program records.
  • The season’s 10th win marked the 5th consecutive year the Mustangs had 10 or more victories.
  • It was the program’s 60th win.

Notes: Mustang goals from Jessie Papageorge’s (4); Lizzie Moore (3); two each from Taylor Nunez, Kathy Noyes, Lexi Witkin, Kimmy Flemming, Kayla Ruiz and Hannah Redwine; one each from Sohee Ki, Rachel Lansner — and senior defenders Lauren Thews and Ashley Brewer. … Ruiz picked up 5 ground balls. … Goalie Jessie Vuozzo had 15 saves.

Next: Hosts Laguna Hills (6-1 Sea View) Tuesday. If the Mustangs win, they’d own at least a share of their first Sea View League title.
