Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse’s JV team shook off Monday’s tough defeat vs. Foothill to rebound with a 12-4 victory over visiting Laguna Hills. The two teams had tied, 9-9, four weeks earlier.
The match was tight at the start, 1-1 after 18 minutes (Mustang goal by Hope Dodd.) Then came four quick Trabuco Hills strikes — Jackie Huse, Peyton Nunez and two by Megan McIntyre — to open a Mustang lead never relinquished.
Notes: Dodd finished with three goals; McIntyre, totalled four; Huse added a second; and Melanie Leong and Becca Ranson also scored. … Nunez also had two assists. … Goalie Cyrena Malkowski had 12 saves.
