Trabuco Hills grabbed a quick 3-1 lead vs. the visiting Hawks, who had won an early season match, 12-10, between the two teams. Then Laguna Hills, which lead the Sea View starting the night, scored three of their own to take their only lead of the game at 4-3. The Mustangs scored the last 4 of the half, gaining a 7-4 advanatage at intremission. Laguna Hills never got closer, as a swarming Mustang defense kept Laguna Hills to its lowest goal output of the season.
Notes: Taylor Nunez scored three and Lizzie Moore two for the Mustangs. … Lauren Thews picked up five ground balls; Rachel Lansner, three. … Laguna Hills star Marcy Levatino, who scored eight against Trabuco Hills, four weeks ago, was held to just three goals.
Record: 11-7, 6-1 Sea View.
Next: At Aliso Niguel, Friday. If Trabuco Hills wins, they are the sole Sea View League champion. The Mustang program has never won a league title.
