Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse JV need another late rush overcome El Dorado, 9-5.
In Placentia, the Mustangs and the Golden Hawks were tied 3-3 at halftime with Trabuco’s Kelsey Tapia scoring twice and Kaylyn Voytilla once.
Right after the break, El Dorado scored to gain a 4-3 advantage. Delaney Shelton scored to tie the match; then Cheyenne Ochoa gave Trabuco the lead. After the Golden Hawks replied with their own goal, tying it at 5-5 with 12 minutes left … the Mustangs got busy.
Trabuco finished the game scoring the last four goals — Becca Haggard socred three straight, and Shelton added the icing for the victory.
Notes: Taylor Fox, Marina Sandoval and Shelton had assists. … Ochoa picked up 9 ground balls; Haggard had 7; Voytilla 6. … Kaelyn Green had five saves.
