Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse Junior Varsity fell to Newport Harbor, 10-6, on Friday night at Estancia HS.
The first half ended as a 3-3 tie. Kayla Jones, Alondra Sandoval and Sarah Daneshmand scored for the Mustangs. Hima Kathi kept the Mustangs in the game with five saves.
Newport pulled away in the second half despite Mustang goals from Jones, Zoe Cerutti and Makenna Joels. Diana Cendejas had one save in goal.
Ieneke Jimenez picked up 2 ground balls and a takeaway for the Mustangs in the game. Alisa Atkins, Kaylie Petko and Meagan Raft and a groundball and a takeaway each.
Record: 2-2
Next game: Home match vs. Woodbridge, Tuesday.
