Mustangs take a ‘classic’

It was no easy road to the 241 Classic trophy.
Playing the Titans at Tesoro HS as part of a SoCal Lacrosse fundraiser, the Mustangs fell behind quickly, 3-0. While that was the biggest deficit of the night, the girls in blue never seemed to gain control of the exhibition match. It took a late surge, including the Mustangs’ only lead of the evening — the game winner with less than 2 minutes left — plus a save at the horn by goalie Jessie Vuzzo — to earn an 12-11 win.
