Varsity 13, Aliso Niguel 5

Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse Varsity got goals from six different Mustangs to defeat pesky visitors from Aliso Niguel, 13-5, in the Sea View League opener.

The game started with the visiting Wolverines  pressing on defense and patient on attack. Midway through the first half, the score was even at 2-2, with Mustang Lizzie Moore scoring twice. Trabuco Hills then began to pull away before half — including goals by Moore and two by Jessie Papageorge’s — to lead 5-2 at break.

Mustang goals by Rachel Lansner and Justine Tobias were matched by Aliso Niguel early in the second half. But Trabuco Hills soon got a comfortable advantage thanks to a four-goal spurt (Papageorge’s, Alex Miller and Alyssa Ransom twice) in two minutes.  Goals by Papageorge’s and Tobias finished the Trabuco Hills scoring.
