JV 8, Tesoro 6

For much of the night, Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse JV didn’t look like they had much at Tesoro High.

They were almost shut out in the first half, with Taylor Fox scoring just before the whistle. Mustangs trailed, 2-1.

Halfway through the second half, Trabuco trailed, 5-2 — with Marina Sandoval scoring.

Then came a charge: six goals in nine minutes. Four came from Kelsey Tapia — plus one each from Kaylyn Voytilla and Becca Haggard — and the Mustangs lead, 8-5. Tesoro could only muster one goal in return before the game ended.

Notes: Sam Ransom had six saves.

Record: 6-3-1

Next up: Laguna Hills, Tuesday.
