Trabuco Hills Girls JV took the simple route to a 10-7 win at Laguna Hills.
The Mustangs jumped out to a 4-0 lead on two goals by Taylor Fox and one each from Marina Sandoval and Kelsey Tapia. Laguna got two quick scores back but goals from Sandoval, Kaylyn Voytilla, Cheyenne Ochoa and Becca Haggard helped build a 8-3 halftime advantage.
Goals by Haggard and Fox after the break made sure the Mustangs needed no late rally to pick up the win.
Notes: Kaelyn Green had 8 saves in goal … Haggard and Ochoa had assists … Haggard had 8 ground ball pickups, Ochoa 6 and Madison Dumond, 5.
Record: 9-4-1.
