JV 6, Esperanza 4 (Lax-a-palooza)

The Mustangs started to get in the groove and scored first from Irene Petruzzi.  Jacquie Cronkrite made her first appearance of the season in goal and played well, taking several shots off her chest plate.  Erin Beall and Ashly Bradshaw scored to bring the game to 3-0.  The Mustangs seemed to be back on track.  The defense was effectively frustrating the Esparanza attackers with aggressive man-on-man tactics.  As the first half was coming to a close the Mustangs fell into disarray.  Esparanza sprang to life with two goals and the game was within their reach as the buzzer ended the half at 3-2.

After a halftime pep talk the Mustangs quickly got back on track.  Jordan Cisowski had her best game of the season with excellent passing that nearly resulted in Mustang goals.  Irene Petruzzi seemed to take over the second half and scored 3 goals as the Mustangs began to hit their mid season form.  This one ended with the Mustangs surging in a 6-4 victory.
