JV 5, Los Alamitos 4 (S&S)

Day Two of the Sticks & Stones Invitational saw Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse JV facing the Los Alamitos Griffins No. 2 JV team in a Saturday morning game on Trabuco Hills’ upper fields. Kaylyn Voytilla opened the first half with a quick goal before Los Al quickly answered with a goal of their own. Smith and Irene Paruzzi managed to win two of the six draw controls before the close of the half, with Los Al up 3-2.

In the second half, players Jacqui Cronkrite, Petruzzi and Shannon dominated the game scoring with one goal a piece. Goalie Erin Beall managed to keep the opponents to one goal in the half. The Mustangs won the game with a final score of 5-4, leading them to the Blue Division’s final against Redondo Beach.

Next: Trabuco Hills (7-1) vs. Redondo Beach on Saturday at 2:30 pm.
