JV 13, Laguna Hills 3 (Lax-a-palooza)

The Trabuco Hills Girls Lacrosse JV moved Saturday to Laguna Hills’ Lax-a-palooza consolation bracket after an opening-round loss.

With the loss, Trabuco set up to play Laguna Hills at 11:15. The heat had taken it’s toll on the girls but everyone rallied and came out ready to play.

Trabuco’s Gabi Bitting threw an assist to Jacquie Cronkrite to score the opening goal off the first draw. The Mustangs never looked back from there, taking an impressive 13-3 victory from Laguna Hills on their home turf.

Goal scorers included Kaylyn Voytilla, Jacquie Cronkrite, Alyssa Ortega and Kody Shelton.

Next up? The season finale vs. Aliso Niguel.
